Sorry if that was a little sharp, was just having a little fun with ya.

Right back at you, Rod, it's all good, although I may never forgive you and your son for refusing to teach me the special "Small Block Mopar" handshake while we were at Spring fling! I could really use that info, so I could be an "insider"! Alas, I fear that I wear my big block bias a little too well, and most of the small block faithful figure me out pretty quick!
Dale talked to Bloomer last week, and he told him that I should see the rods, pistons, etc. this coming week. Bryce at Dr J's finally charged my credit card for the Airwolfs on June 6th, but has yet to send the promised invoice to my E-mail, and WhiteDart's report that the castings are on backorder scares me, quite frankly...we will see, I guess!

So with the Challenger gone, does this mean you have to "officially" tell your wife about my tube chassis Barracuda? lol!!!

Been doing more road testing. Need to find a way to lean out at part throttle. Tried just running without intermediate air bleeds. Had a lot better manners but would heat up at slight throttle. So it needs bleeds just larger ones. Have not taken time to get into that one today.

Been trying to get a speedometer to work. The Garmin will get me locked up. I look one second and I am running 18MPH. Give it some gas and look again and running over 100MPH. Deal is it was not running 18 when I looked. The Garmin just doesn't sample enough. So actually was running 18 at some time then looked still showing 18 probably 40 MPH. Then gas it pissed going too slow. Then no it is over 70 but surprised when 1~~ shows up. I am sure no cop is going to let that get by.

Some of the guys say I have too much valve spring. I am going to talk to PAC and the cam grinder this week. Need a spring for less lift sense the engine did not run better with more lift. So it should work with springs for .100 less lift. Hope I don't have to buy retainers and locaters again. I am pretty sure PAC said the springs would be fine. But, just don't need this much spring.

KSJ,
No, no, no, if they both go, they are in a car together...NOT the car that I'm in!!

Johnny,
Don't have a convincing story made up yet to break the news about the barracuda. When I told her about the Challenger deal, she was like, "That's not gonna work, you won't be happy without a real racecar! You really need to start discussing this with me before you make these kinds of decisions!" Oh, boy, what a tangled web we weave!

Leon,
I've ran the last two Drag Weeks without a speedometer, just running with the traffic around me, and watching engine rpm...but I'm sure my converter is tighter than yours! I have had a couple of situations where I'm running down a 2 lane at 55-60, and come into one of those little one stoplight towns where the speed limits goes 45,40,35 and the local cop is sitting by the 35 sign, and you're sweating it thinking, "I hope I slowed up enough, I THINK that's probably 35!"

Well I am told that a PAC 1330 will work safely in my car where I have PAC 1356 springs now. The real difference is the amount of lift they are rated for.

The speedo issue will soon be resolved. The sensor on the Racepak works great. But, it will only drive the one device as it is. The output terminal on the speedo does not work with the racepak. Now I just need to buy a shielded cable and a three pin female plug and I should be calibrating Friday.

Billy, just let me know what it's gonna take and bring it over (or pick it up?). She doesn't need to know!!! Or I'll trade you for a coupe and ???? I have about 50 projects you can choose from, come on down and take a look. Then she'll have her Drag Week car too! You need an even half dozen in the Gebhart lineup for DW. Still in if you want a co pilot this year

If you have an Android phone, this speedo app works really well.

http://codesector.com/speedview

It even does a heads up display by setting the phone on the dash and reflecting a mirror image off the windshield. It will also do 1/4 mile times and 0-60 times. Logs mileage too.

Very nice Ray, is that the shorter intake from Muscle motors?

I just got the same motor plate and am now cutting the front cover.

one carb for now but I plan on testing/dynoing with the other dual quad setup also but I'm going for fuel milage this year. I want to drive it to Bowling Green. Hit Pigeon Forge on the way for shades of the past show and show the LS boys up at LS fest

yes, I got the short version because the tall version would be hard to port if I wanted to try "things" without cutting it in half

Just ordered a proximity switch. It is only 45 miles away but will not be here until Monday. How about that. Want to get this thing dialed in.

Ray,
You are embarrassing me! BB to Gen3 and drive to DW? I'd like to say that If I was only working on one car, I could get that much done, but that would be a lie!

Leon,
What is the device that sensor normally runs?

Kevin,
A speedometer phone app, sheez, and I still play with carburetors.

Tony,
What the latest with the Javelin? I've been setting the alarm for 4:30 AM, and trying to dedicate 5-7AM to the cars, as that's about the only time I can stand it outside!

Johnny,
I have no doubt that you have something in Tucson that would interest me, I am a Mopar guy after all and we are easily swayed!! If you seriously want to make the trip to Bowling Green, we will figure out a way to make that happen as well.

Mike,
When does the Rampage get a shakedown?

The rotating assembly arrived from Bloomer Performance Engineering yesterday... and the block is still in the car. So there's another of my lame excuses shot down!

it hasn't been easy. trying to squeeze everything between torsion bars has been a real task. I like the fenderwell headers much better

and I havn't made it to Bowling Green yet so I'm not counting my chickens

Billy I have been getting the fuel system straightened out, added a tank for race fuel in trunk and a second pump for just street driving from stock tank. Lightened up the back seat and replaced fronts with some Kirkey ones, down to 3390 with me in it from 3700 before.

Been real hot, I should have done this before it got hot
Still need to add the cowl scoop and do some testing, maybe down to Tucson in a few weeks. Debating whether to remove the roller cam and put my old flat tappet in it to avoid valve train issues, would be slower though. I may do it as I dont really have a chance in the class with leon and Ray and you anyway so a mid to low 10 should be ok.
