What is a one piece and two piece axel? what would my 72 cuda be. One or two piece?

Yours is a one piece. A two piece has the flange separate from the shaft.

Yours will be a 1 piece, the two piece axles (real old cars and most jeeps until 1986) have a big nut on the end of the shaft to hold it together. Tim

Thanks guys. I was reading the instruction for installing rear disc brakes and came across 1 and 2 piece axels and didn't have the slightest idea.
