ChargerCrazed enthusiast C Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 389 NY	Not all 70 Chargers that had the factory bumperettes, so many of the 70 Chargers didn't have the cross bar. All 68 & 69 Chargers had bumperettes & the cross bar.

After 40 years going by; many possibilities exist that either somewhere down the line, the original bumperettes were thrown away or the current and/or previous owner "thought" the bracket was supposed to be there since he/she saw them on '68 and '69's? Unfortunately, with time, it is hard to tell whether a car has been put back together just as it was when it was born either by accident or with the intention for modifications... If looking for a used one for your 70, try and find the bar like in the above pics with one hole on each side of the captive nut where the bottom of the bumperette bolts into. The 68 & 69 cross bars will fit & work but don't have those holes.
