Did all 1970 Chargers come with this bracket? If so, who sells them? It lays on top of the front valence. What is it called?

Something looks funny with that photo. The brace is for cars equipped with the front bumper guard option. The bottom of the bumper guard attaches to this brace on both sides.

That's what I thought but the Charger I saw did not have the bumper guards on it.

Not all 70 Chargers that had the factory bumperettes, so many of the 70 Chargers didn't have the cross bar. All 68 & 69 Chargers had bumperettes & the cross bar.

That's what I thought but this nice 70 Charger R/T(just like mine) at MATS had the cross bar but no bumperettes.

After 40 years going by; many possibilities exist that either somewhere down the line, the original bumperettes were thrown away or the current and/or previous owner "thought" the bracket was supposed to be there since he/she saw them on '68 and '69's? Unfortunately, with time, it is hard to tell whether a car has been put back together just as it was when it was born either by accident or with the intention for modifications...

I don't think the cross bar is available new. If looking for a used one for your 70, try and find the bar like in the above pics with one hole on each side of the captive nut where the bottom of the bumperette bolts into. The 68 & 69 cross bars will fit & work but don't have those holes.

My car did not come with bumperettes so I guess mine did not come with the cross bar. I was just curious.
