I just know the 440 crank is cast. but 383/400/440 are external balance and can all use the 100gram weighted TC. I aksed if I needed to keep the TC that was on the cast crank 440 with the replacment trans from a 400. John Kunkle posted I was good to use the TC from the 400 with the big weight. and that 383/400/440 cast cranks share that 100 gram weight.IIRC I used the 400 TC that came in the used replacment 727. works fine

My 383 is a steel crank. Its a mid 60s motor.
Again Im NOT talking about CAST crank motors
