Front and rear markers on a 68 Dart. Is the thread standard size? They use the sheetmetal "nuts" to hold them on. my fiberglass fenders are much thicker than the sheetmetal, so I need to come up with something. Thanks.

Couldn't you grind/sand the back side around the hole to a thinner dimension? I'd think you could do that relatively easily. Also, the nut might be able to be modified to allow a greater depth

Once I can get to my garage I can check the threads with a pitch gauge.

There's gotta be a way, and there's nothin' cooler than those 68 marker lights.

Since the nuts have a depth, that depth could be reduced, but you'll want to make sure they stay straight.

This may sound dumb but I'm just thinking outside the box. Can you flip the sheetmetal nut over and tap the center (the threads per say) down a little and install?

Plus, aren't they a 1 wire socket? Meaning you'll have to add a ground wire too.

I think I will just section the nut to gain some depth. Not going to grind on the fenders with them already painted.

And yeah...already added the ground wire to each.
