If my calculations are right.. it should run to at
least the speed I had my problems with on the P-body..
but the short hatch and short back end was the problem

I sorta like the red with silver idea... I have to
give that some thought and see if it matches up with
what I have... I could have the stripes done in silver
and spray the cowl silver... got to think on that

But you live in mich you can't have Ohio state buckeyes colors on you car

71 demon stock stroke 440/indy ez-1 running 10.10 @ 132.14 mph in the 1/4 and 6.36 @ 107.46 mph in the 1/8 not in the same weekend but It did it then I sold it.

The body work is done... tomorrow I'll it out of the
shop and blow the place out and shoot a couple of
test panels... finally... then I'll put the front
end back on... I think I'm gonna shoot the insides
of the doors and a couple other things pretty soon
then I have to wait a couple of weeks for the spray booth

I'm bummed out... I pulled my 2 choices of paint out
to shoot a couple of test panels... well I have the
base coat for the Inferno Red Pearl coat but I didnt
have the top coat... so I called my local paint supplier
and they took me that its discontinued... but they
will contact PPG on Monday to see if they have it or
the blend ratio.... I sure like that color.... no
clue what I did with the top coat.... BUMMER
UPDATE....
the wife said there is a gal of paint in the closet
and low and behold.... ITS THE TOP COAT... no longer
bummed out... but a HAPPY CAMPER... I guess I should
have asked her in the first place (but she wasnt home
when I was looking).... she is GOOD

Mike I have that same problem LOL. When I can't find something in my shop I call my wife out to find it for me, seems like a lot of times when I am looking for something it has a way of using camoflosh.(spelling maybe)

I shot a test panel today... this is on poster paper
so its a little wrinkly but it looks better in person...
this looks more orange than the real color... I
put mirco metallic in the top coat but I'm gonna
cut that down about 20%.... its called Inferno Red
Pearl coat... which is like a maroonish color
The wife really likes it... so thats most of the battle

For me its just not remembering where I put it... I
had some paint in that closet when I was building my
new shop... I thought I grabbed it all out but I missed
the 1 gal... thank GOD see remembered... otherwise
I would have had a gal of base that would have been
junk due to no top coat... but after shooting the
top coat I could have made up something

Thanks... it looks much nicer in person... I dont
really like the pic.. but the color is more maroon
than the pic... and I did it 2 ways.. with a black
sealer and the white... the black looked a bit to
dark and the white looked good... with this color I
dont think I will put any ghost flames on it like I
was thinking with the Flame red

Damn... just went and bought my sealer for the paint
job... $250 for the sealer and stuff needed to shoot
that.... sure am glad I have all the rest of the painting
stuff.... I think I would have about $1100 into just
the materials to do this.. its all PPG so its good
quality stuff... its been a WHILE since I bought any
painting material... and it sure has gone up
