Just got the back window and windshield put back in the New Yorker. Question- the rubber gasket has slack. You can slide it all the way down the glass and it exposes part of the pinch weld around the windshield. You can slide it out to the edge of the pinchweld but not a lot of the glass is still covered. Is this normal? The windshield is NOS, and the gasket came from a highly recommended supplier. Suggestions? Thanks- Pat

Whoever supplied the windshield rubber probably didn't make it in house.
If there is movement to the degree that you describe, the gasket is defective. It is supposed to be a tight fit with the glass in place.
