Can anyone recommend a source to duplicate trans number markings like these? What do you use for stamps/stencils? technique, etc.

Also, thanks to the Moparts member who shared this pic of his trans (from an AAR). I forgot who it was...

The stamps are available at the site below. I have not used them so cannot give an opinion. Perhaps some member has.

Thanks for the link. Those look like they're smaller and the spacing doesn't look quite right. I need to check out the local craft store and see what they have by way of stencils.

Any other recommendations or experiences?

Thanks

Bruce:

Dan H is looking to see if he still has them left over from Aloha as I am also at this point with my transmission. I will let you know what he comes up with.........

I have all the stamps(for 18 spl and some 23) in the correct size and font. Let me know which one you need. Ill lend it to you so you dont have to buy something youll probably never use again.

Just PM your address if you want it.

What number do you need? I have a "696" I had made for my 70 340 Cuda.

Thanks everyone! I need one just like the picture "789" 23-spline from a 70 T/A. Mike, let me know if you have one and I'll take you up on your offer.

Paul - If Dan has one that will work as well. Chris Bayley is going through my trans anyway.

Thanks again

I got a bunch of detailing tips from this thread:

https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=6494596&an=0&page=192

For the numbers I made a stencil in word using the PLACARD CONDENSED 180 font as suggested. Looked bang on to me.

Bruce, stop trying to build a fake...I know where your trans is.

I took the measurements from my trans, also layed a piece of thin paper over the numbers and retraced them, then cut the numbers out of the paper and pasted that to a piece of thin cardboard. this gave me a template. I have 677 if you need it, as well

For the blue, I mixed up Testors until I got the correct (?) shade and it worked great.
