I have an older rebuild on a 727 that I street/strip. I was wondering if ATF+4 would be ok to run in this 727. I dont have the t/converter out so it probably still has ATF+3 in it.

We have been running it the past 2 years with no problems at all!

I would not use anything else . I have been using this in a low nine sec 3400 pound car for the last 10 years . Gets 100% thumbs up from me anyway .

Its all I use. I was a Dodge tech for 24 years so I have a nice stock of the ATF+3 and +4 I acumulated over the years. But it has always worked good for me. Ron

I have been running ATF+4 for more than 10 years as well but in a 904 with no problems, it is a good fluid.

When using ATF4 my transmissions never looked better.They were like new after each season.

I've never used it, but I agree that ATF+4 is a good fluid and is a synthetic. However, I'm pretty sure that it does have different friction modifiers in it due to use with modern computer controlled transmissions. In other words, the shifts may not be as crisp/hard as it would be with Type F or other race related trans fluids. But it obviously works well in most applications. Synthetics are a big plus since they are more resistant to breakdown from heat. I use Amsoil Super Shift.
