Hi Guys,
I know the answers are going to be all over the place on this, but about what kind of gas mileage are you guys with 440-Six Packs getting on the street?

I have a fairly stock setup in a Super Bee, but due to numerous sending unit and gauge problems, I'm not too sure what mine is, though I'm guessing it's under 10.

What are you guys with somewhat stock 440-6 setups seeing?

Thanks!

Highest ever was 16-17 mpg on hwy, generally 13-15 @ 70-75 cruise. Combined driving about 12 mpg, never checked city only. 3:23's & auto trans. Original carbs & distributor w/vac advance hooked up. Both have been reworked a little, 64 jets in center carb. Headers, very mild cam & lower than stock compression (8.6) and an MSD box working through one set of points. When it was completely stock/original, I recall I could usually get 14 mpg out of it.

This one will get between 16/18 with a 24yr old Purple shaft 284/474 cam and 3.54 rear if I drive it sensibly.

These numbers seem odd to me ( the numbers reported above)... or maybe not, but a while back, some of the fella's on another site were reporting in on what kind of gas milage they got traveling to the Carlisle 08 show, and most of the 6-Pak guys were reporting high teens and low 20's. Maybe it's just a highway thing with no around town numbers factored in. I don't currently own a 6-Pak myself so I can't speak one way or another.
