Getting my daughter's old Neon, which as sat for a couple years. I'm figuring it'll need a fuel pump. If so, is this worth the trouble or should I get the whole assembly new?

For instance....

Thoughts please?

get the whole pump. all the work is in dropping the tank, and with the pump insert, you are still running the old sender, lines etc...why take the chance on having to do the job twice?

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.
