I know that the original clutch for my 1970 440 six pack Super Bee was the scalloped design clutch with a 10.95" disc.

Any reason to not use the Centerforce dual friction 10.5" clutch behind a basically stock 440 six pack? Probably will make 450hp max after the rebuild?

Stock flywheel and bellhousing...

What do you 4 speed guys use??

Cheers,

Arnie

10.95..more surface area. I've never tried the centerforce stuff but many different 10.5 borg and becks'. The next time I'm in there I'm going back to Ma' Mopars 10.95. It seemed to hold up the best.

I agree with the 10.95 surface area, but there is no way that "Ma' Mopars" clutch is better than a Centerforce system. This opinion is based on personal experience with using both. Centerforce is in my car now and has been for the past 8 years or so. Mine, however, is an 11" system.

4 speed street legal. Best time 10.99 @ 124 mph on 93 octane pump gas @ 3926# total weight

I just talked to centerforce, and the 10.95" is apparently discontinued, so I guess I will try the 10.5" after all...

Thanks,

Arnie
