Going for a Isky solid roller. Read somewhere else they recommend going with the EZ roller lifters, as they are more durable, pretty expensive too. My engine builder says this is all hype, they do not last any longer than conventional needle bearing types, 5000 miles on the street.
Going to use them on a .750 cam on a Hemi. Any experiences out there you care to share.

get a new engine builder....

They last longer,and when they do fail,the bushing gets some slop in it but continues to roll. This saves you from tearing up a lobe,and you SHOULD catch the lifter going bad by a change in lash. Some builders are afraid of new technology and think of anything new as a gimmick.
There are way too many new ideas that get a bad rap because of it.

They are good pieces, yes pricey, but they arent all " hype". Tell your engine guy its the 21st Century and that 1970 just called looking for him...

Morel has just now started making a similar piece as well.

Crower also has their version of the easy roll extreme out.
They've been holding up to 1400 lb springs without any issues so far.

We use the Isky EZRolls in just about every engine we build,Elimination of the needle bearing is like finding a cure for cancer. The damage done by a needle bearing failure gets into thousands of dollars .the cost of EZRolls insurance policy outways the damage done by needle bearing failure.Bill C.

I have Isky Red Zone EZ rollers in my 572 Hemi with 800+ on the nose, going into the car later this year.

Im pretty sure Chip on here runs em on his 572 and swears by em as do many others.

Pricey but not as pricey as an engine.

My 2 dineros;

Mine are the Red Zones w/ needle bearings. Bought them in 2006 before the EZ Roll option came out. Just sent them back for a check up a few months ago and Isky said they checked out fine. Back in and running w/ no issues.

Chip drag week is getting closer to you this year.....you going to be able to make it? You would be in the running for a #1 trophy for big block NA if the times were like last year.

Nothing against Drag Week at all, I just have no desire to do it.
