Some time back , i had a 6 pack 70 cuda BS23V0B201068 4sd A32 rally hood Black car with black hockey sticks , no console , rally dash , overhead console , black 14 inch painted rims ,

Just after that a friend aquired a cuda ragtop 6 pack - BS27V0B201063 4 sp also a black car , also black sticks, but had blue interior,

My question to you guys is seeing as our cars were only 5 apart on the assembly line , ended up close to same destination , simular cars in a sence . did they run colors in a batch on the assembly line or batchs of 6 pack cars on the line .

I always found this odd years later .

FYI - in '70 A32 was 4.10 DANA package for automatics.

ok been along time so a34 anywho ur saying both ordered to or from same dealship ,???? to ur knowledge any other 6packs in that vin run ??????

63 was built for Canadian sale, what is the vehicle order number for 68?

78 was a 318 car build for US sale.

VINs were assigned as the orders were entered into the system, but the cars were not built in VIN order.

Also, if you have broadcast sheets for both cars I can tell you how many actual builds apart they were.

I have a broadcast sheet here for 201078, so it would be a fun comparison.

I dont have sheets 4 them , been more then a few yrs gone, dont know where hrtp went , but ragtop went to collector in states ,remember seeing it in mags ( during resto it was full of black widow spiders if that rings a bell ) just always found it strange these cars 5 away from each other V I N wise ...more or less in the same town inlate 80s

something else wierd ive found , alot of 70 challengers with V I N s starting with 308 I owned a fc7 6 pk 70 and a T/A with 308 dark tan polly ? bench seat ,, It had wrong sheet in it ( 308773 )have a copy of that sheet for any 1 .EK2 car

Hamtramck assigned VINs in groups of the same model.

3084xx to 3086ish - Barracuda models. 3086ish from there to 3088ish - Challenger models. After that the 308 range continues with Valiants & Dusters.

But, in real life regardless of VIN they were built inter-mixed & out of VIN order all the time.
