I really think it's a common problem. I have a 97 Dak and have a problem with no heat on the pass side floor. I think the problem is with the blend and other doors that change the temp and direction of flow. Somebody makes a kit to repair them without removing the dash. I have seen some vids on You Tube I think. Might try Google. Right now i'm living with it.

Pretty sure it'll be broken servo motor, They wear out/ crack and need to be replaced when this happens.

You can remove the servo motor and operate the door by hand to ensure you found the problem.

Lew,

Here is the best resource I know of for that, it will teach you how to fix it and will show you everything you need.

Wooo, learn something everyday. Thanks I have replaced the motors on International trucks and GM pickups, never seen or heard of a broken door. But I have not worked on dodge trucks since 93 when I got rid of our last dodge. Sadly or luckly I have not had one since.

Dang there's seems a lot of things to go wrong on these late model dodges??

Glad to help you too Gary.

They aren't perfect...a guy could do much worse though, and I think they're a darn good vehicle in spite of knowing this stuff.

The wiring and grounds for stuff like fuel pumps is probably the most mysterious and nonsensical...follow the wiring coming out of the fuel pump someday, see if you can guess where the ground is for the pump, and you will see what I mean The wiring is my least favorite part of those trucks to work on...
