For many years I always heard that this modification hurts the bottom end, I never experianced that until I ran a set of 67 RO23 / WO23 750 cheater carbs , which is what Chrysler used on the “vanke” modifiefd intakes , Yes, they did lose bottom end, but that was the carbs , not the intake. If you have a crate hemi that needs a helping hand or are building a new engine , this Mopar intake with my machine work will deliver the goods

With 500 cubic inches I wouldn't think torque would be an issue so drive-ability should be fine.

That's what I was thinking too, but I've read a couple different things online saying it wasn't a good idea for a street car. I don't see it being a problem since this motor will have a 4.25" stroke in it (not sure on bore size yet). I'm asking here though b/c I have zero experience w/ this manifold and wanted to see if anyone has done something similar.
