i recently came across a real strong 440 engine out of a truck(78) and want to drop it in my 72 roadrunner.i noticed that the 440 block has a metal plug in the hole where the dipstick tube drops into, the truck motor uses a dipstick that drops into the oil pan.is there any easy way to remove that metal plug?or am i stuck trying to adapt the oil pan tube setup into my b body oil pan?the truck pan is different obviously.this motor had alot of work done to it $ wise and is waiting in my garage to go into my rr.any help would be great.thanks!

I would think you should be able to punch that plug out once the pan is off. Knock it out the top.

I had to do this with mine. Punches out pretty easy from underneath.
