I am buying a 72 Duster with NO wiring. I've seen nice wiring kits that have each wire labeled every 5 or 6 inches on the whole length of the wire and come with a fuse block. But what do I do about the bulb sockets for the headlights, taillights, and marker lights?
Where would I buy factory wiring harnesses that have the bulb sockets?
Honestly I wanted to wire the car as cheap as possible, I'm just not sure if the local parts stores will have the correct sockets or not?

My would be to buy a good original dash harness and then buy new the other harnesses from Year One when they have the 30% off.

I was able to get new sockets from pep boys. just in there general electrical section.

now I had originals to match them with, so you might have some issues there unless you can get pictures.

but they had enough that I re did my entire rear harness on my own.

Well I found out the guy has the dash harness with the bulkhead that goes into the firewall! That appears to be the most expensive part of the system.

Year One's website says it includes wiring for headlight, wiper/washer, flasher, turn signal, horn and ignition switches, panel gauges/lights and heater. Also includes the fuse block and bulkhead disconnect.

It looks like the engine compartment harness will be about $142 and the rear light harness is about $93. I won't have a factory fuse holder though, maybe a universal deal will work.
I'm terrible at wiring so I need to do this car the easiest way possible with the harnesses, starter relay, aftermarket ignition etc.

Maybe a stand alone type ignition and distributor will make things easier? I remember something mentioned here about the Firecore50 distibutor and ignition.

A little notice for ya, if you go with the year one harness, be prepared to wait a few months for it. I ordered on dec 27th, and got it friday. It was an excellent harness, so Im happy.
