Wondering if anyone can help me.
My wife has a Sebring that started having problems today.
She took it to Autozone and had them hook it up the computer.
she had 2 codes P03040 which says Cam shaft sensor defective
and P13191-timing belt or chain stretched or jumped
Defective CMP sensor.
Tried to find the cam shaft sensor online. Could not find one, so I called Autozone and the guy tells me that her car does not have a cam shaft sensor. This is uncharted territory for me. Like to have the advice of the more knowledgeable brethren before I go and throw a lot of money on this car. Any advice would be helpful.

Best to get to a dealer to determine. Autozone is good for basic stuff but I would have a qualified professional look it over.

About a year ago, my 2001 Sebring LXI started running erratic. It also had a code for camshaft position sensor.

I bought one from Advance Auto ($25?) and installed it myself. I bit hard to reach and about an hour to do.

2.7 should be a chain. Better get it checked they have been known to have issues.

Yes it has a cam sensor. Have you had some engine noise?? I'm guessing you have an extended crank before it starts??does it run ok after started??If you just have a long crank, cam sensor might fix it.if it runs funny, low power, timing chain probably jumped a tooth, especially if there was/is engine noise. chain jump= lot's of money to fix.parts and time.multiple chains, guides, tensioners, water pump. alittle more info on what's it doing would help.
