Has anyone tried the new Street Demon carb that has the plastic center and looks like a thermoquad. I am tired of trying to get my 71 thermoquad tuned and am thinking of an aftermarket carb. My thermoquad seems to run rich and does not idle well. It is on a 71 340 engine that is mostly stock. I had an aftermarket Carter 4 barrel on 360 engine that ran flawlessly. Edelbrock now has the Carter type but you have to have an adapter to fit the manifold where as the Street Demon will fit my stock manifold.
