Looking for a good carb rebuild service that also will refinish them.. OR Buy new one's...Around $1250.00 for new..
What do you think is the best route or your experiance on having them redone...Wife is on my a$$ to get car road worthy as it hasn't seen sunshine in many years!!!
rebuild and refinish will be about the same cost , maybe more , than new .
Are they the original carbs ?

those carbs are very easy to rebuild. i wouldn't pay anybody to do it.
I agree, they are very easy to rebuild, but you'd be surprise the number of sixpack carbs I've had to re-rebuild because someone FUBAR'd them during a rebuild,...I'd say if the "numbers/originality" matters, and properly rebuilding them is beyond one's realm of experience, send them out, the OP is looking for refinish as well, that's well beyond most hobbiest...if just function is your primary goal, and rebuilding them yourself is out of the question, new carbs are your best bet, then sell the old stuff to recoup some $$$
FYI...SummitRacing.com has good prices, last set I bought came in around $970 for 340/6 carbs

Thanks guys...The original carbs are put up who knows where and the ones on it are new replacements from years ago...I agree they are suppose to be easy to rebuild as i'm inside holleys all the time...Here lies the problem...I got motivated about 4yrs ago and rebuilt them, same as i've done before, left to long in cleaner, finish came off and wouldn't run right since then,so back on went the cover...I'll make another run at it as holley carbs are pretty simple...Thanks again!!!
