...anyone running one? Pros/cons, gotchas to look out for? Do you need to run it with a compatible MSD box? Can you mix it in with other systems?

Very slick setup. I've always used them with MSD coils but I suppose they might work with other brands. I wish they made a big block version.

I like it.

Don't run it with a Solid State coil like the new square MSD SS coils. Unless you have confirmation from an MSD engineer that their past issue was resolved. Early units like AndyF got did work with those coils, but later ones did not.

They are higher than stock and to take the cap off in an A-body you have to remove two plug wires and loosen/rotate the distributor away from the wiper motor. I would imagine this would not be a problem with a E/B-body with a small block.

Rock solid timing, no issues with mine in 4,000 miles over 1 1/2 years. Rev limiter works.

Good feedback to hear. I may call their techline to discuss further with them. I have a chrome box with an older Jacobs Ultra coil - big blue aluminum unit from back before the Mr Gasket buy out. It has worked great for years and is comparable to any MSD box I've used, but if I need to swap it out, I guess I will.

Height shouldn't be a big issue since its going in an E body, but I have moved the block back and up a bit. Guess I'll find out.

rally like mine on the 408.....probably an early version..???? Running an MSD Blaster SS pn #6207 coil.....fits under the 64 valiant's hood with no interference....but did have to do some minor grinding on the weiand t-ram for side clearance.

When did you buy it?

I returned one that I bought in Jan/Feb 2011, then the second did the same thing. Talked to MSD directly at SEMA 2011 and they said use an oil filled coil. I did and it worked perfect.

So on your '64, can you get the cap off without taking off plug wires? If so, do you have to rotate the distributor too?
