The U code car in my signature is about to get a Hemi. I am pretty sure the choke cable comes through the firewall right next to the Ramcharger hoses just to the right of them.(if you are looking at it)

Anybody have a real good photo? Also I assume it is a 3/4 inch hole? The end of the cable is pretty bulky so I know it isn't a small hole. Any pics of the way it is routed under the dash?

Ok, I've got everything worked out accept the size of the hole the cable goes through in the firewall? I think it could be 3/4 but I would like to be sure.

Anybody?

Interestingly, I have a 71 Charger R/T, U code, Ramcharger Hood car with both holes factory drilled. 3/4 inch for each hole. Factory paint around edges of both holes. Still can't figure out why the one to the right of the Ramcharger hose hole was drilled on a non-Hemi car. August 1970 built car so who knows, maybe it was an error. I know that probably doesn't help you much but I have seen a few 71 Hemi Chargers during restoration and I noted that the choke cable hole was larger than the Ramcharger hose hole. I also noticed that a couple of the cars have the different sized holes factory drilled in opposite locations.

I used a unibit and slowly opened up the hole till the rubber grommet fit just right. Yes that dimple is where it goes.

I don't have the cable in hand yet and the 440 is coming out this weekend. I'd like to punch the hole while I can stand in there.

Thanks for the replies
