Anyone have pictures of the Piqua Ohio Dragstrip ????

Any kind of info or pics would be awesome to see or hear about.
I remember being 6 yr old the first time I went there.

Cool old photo.....I did not know there was a strip in Piqua. I will ask my dad and see if he remembers.

Piqua was the first track to put up $1000 for a bracket race. 1970 or 71.
I have lots of old 8mm home film from back then.

Its been gone a long time. it was always my favorite place. The concrete grandstand behind the burnout box always made every car sound like a bad dude.

You might want to contact Paul Sulof, his name on here is Viperakron. Paul hosts the annual Geezer Gathering with the largest collection of photos and videos from older Ohio drag strips.
He may even have some footage on DVD from there

pences/shelby dragstip closed down in around 1979.they had a reunion 2 years ago for shelby dragstrip and kettlersville drag strip.they had alot of old stuff from the tracks.they sold cd's with a couple of hundred pics.i also have about 10 minutes of 8mm footage from 1969.i would be very interested in trading you pics and video.

We have family film with flag man stater, no tree.

I would certainly love to check out any and all photos and film. I wull get mine together and see what it takes to make it digital for sharing.

Was at kettlersville only once. 1/8 mile wasn't it??
