Why? a cable is so easy to use.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I'll try to get a few pics tonight, basically a long tube that pivots up around the steering column support, with a rod going straight to the carb, through the firewall.
Using in conjunction with a throttle stop? If so a rigid mounting, and pedal stop are of paramount importance.

no race car should ever use a cable. A solid rod with a toe clip on the pedal.

I have a S&W gas pedal in mine that bolts into the stock location and simple 1/4 rod ends. Speedway makes a nice rod thats annodized purple. $20.00

When I went to a rod instead of the cable MY reaction times improved, there was less friction I guess. Mine was home made but I'm sure it can be bought.
