I need to remove my left torsion bar, to get my steering box out.
But i can figure out how to do it. Look at the pics.
In the end there is no lock spring ?

First thing is to back off the adjustment bolt in the lower A arm until there is no pressure on it. Then make a clamp that won't gouge the bar and drive the bar out. Some times you need to remove the bump stop to get enough drop on the suspension to removee and reinstall the T bar.

support the front subframes on stands then unscrew the adjuster bolt all the way & remove it & the block. put a jack under the LCA & suppport it a bit. take off the nut/washer from the front of the LCA tapered stud that goes thru the kmember then drive the tapered stud rearward slightly being carefull not to burr the threads to get the tbar moved a bit rearward then go to the rear side of the kmember & tap the LCA hex forward so it starts to come off of the tbar hex. Adj the height of the jack under the LCA as needed & you're trying to reduce the twist/weight on the tbar where it goes in the LCA hex. Should be much easier now to move the tbar rearward. I would avoid clamping something on the bar itself. When you get everything aligned just right it will move by hand unless the front/rear hex's are severely corroded.

I had enough gunk built up that it would not move backwards.

so it moved a little bit, back, so I drove it forward with a punch and then back again, till it cleaned the gunk out enough to clear the hex.

I couldn't get to the front pin very well in the early B so I hammered on the lower control arm to drive it back.

I have wrapped a piece of rubber (old piece of innertube or such) and then clamp a pair of vice grips on the bar. I then drive the bar out by tapping on the vice grips with a hammer. It works and leaves no mark on the bar.

I just take off the tb adjustment bolt, loosen the lca bolt then pry the lcaa bolt backwards, it'll pop right out.

make sure all weight is off. then just buy the right tool for it. Something like this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/mopar-torsion-ba...69f&vxp=mtr

I have one that was custom made, just two blocks of aluminum with V-ways cut into each. same principal. bolt together and then you can just wail on it back and forth with a hammer

That one didn't work at all for me. It just slid up and down the bar. Oh, and scraped the paint off, too.
