I have a 71 Dart too, but since the dash that was in it is the 'less desirable' configuration (long sweeping speedo), I swapped out the entire dash frame for one from a 73 style A Body, with the more common gauge cluster. I just recently got the gauge bezel from Redline gaugeworks, for $99, and cut it for all my Autometer gauges... .I'm VERY happy with how it came out!!!
I had posted it here, but can't find it right now.... I'll try to find it on my other machine..

Cal Gecko, if you find that pic, I'd really like to see it. I'd like to do something like that in my 70. Thanx

Hey Cal - How did you secure the dash to the frame? I don't see any screw holes.
He might own a drill?
Just kidding. They probably make them without holes due to production variations in dash frames, so might explain why they come undrilled.

You can get different autometer fuel level gauges that will work with a stock mopar sending unit. I have their carbon fiber series gauge with a stock 1967 sending unit and have no "sloshing" problems at all.

LEDs for the blinker and hi-beam indicators. How about some military toggles for the lights and wipers?
well, I kinda considered some aftermarket switches, but I still want to be able to use the dimmer and high beam functions... any ideas for that?
the LEDs - will those operate on the same voltage that was going to the original bulbs for the blinkers and stuff on the original dash?

Yep, I used 12 volt LED's in a aluminum dash I built up years ago for a D150 I had
They come in lots of colors and shapes too
