I would like a set of them 11.75 x 1.25" rotors that fit the 73 to 76 drum spindle that I will be using with the first gen viper calipers. That way I can ditch the brake pad spacers......

I suspect they are just C-Body rotors?

I was thinking the same thing. This is good news for my '72, but not for my '77.

So, if running these 11.75 x 1.25" rotors on a stock 71 A-body small bearing spindle, will the stock KH calipers and other small parts work on them with no other mods?

Hi scott...I called the ram man yesterday and he said the caliper bracket just needs ...040 milled..that's how he got it to work on small spindle..but thats it...i dont know where he had to grind it though...call him.

C-body, truck and van rotors share the same part number. They are 11.75" in diameter and 1.25" thick. The inner bearing on these rotors are a tiny bit smaller than the typical B/E bearing. The inner part of the spindle itself is about 1/8" larger. That means the C/truck/van bearing is actually thinner than the B/E body bearing.

Calipers built for narrower rotors may not have the room to fit the fatter rotor. C-body or truck/van calipers would be necessary.

In the videos he states the calipers are moved 3/4" outwards. That's incorrect. The difference in rotor diameter is 0.86" and requires the caliper to be moved half that distance. Lifting the caliper 3/4" would result in the pads running off the top of the rotor.

Depends what years of C-Body's ......( bearings) I never noticed the bearings themselves being smaller though? I sort of thought they were proportionate to the hole/shaft they went on?

I posted this a couple times in the past:

Pre '73 C-body 11.75" x 1.25" rotors (ie Centric unicast rotor #120-63021) will bolt to pre '73 B/E body disc and drum knuckles, as they share the same wheel bearings.

If you replace the Set 6 bearing package with a Set 13 version, these rotors will bolt directly to '73 and newer A,B,E,F,M,J and R body spindles.

In addition, you can bolt the cheap/commonly available '73 C-body/pickup/van 11.75" x 1.25" rotor to a '73 and newer A,B,E,F,M,J and R body spindle by using the OUTER wheel bearing adapter sleeve I produce.

I built a one-off brake kit using these rotors and second generation Viper calipers, but because of the additional clearance required by the massive calipers, 15" wheels would not fit.

If first generation Viper calipers were commonly available, I would build a brake kit around this combination.

These rotors will not bolt to any pre '73 A-body spindle, nor will they fit any A,B,or E body caliper.

But will the C body calipers bolt to the B body 11.75 pin type Caliper adapters that are bolted to B or E body spindles?

Yes, 11.75" B-body pin caliper brackets, C-body pin calipers and C-body/van/pickup rotors will bolt to '73 and newer A,B,E,F,M,J,R body disc knuckles if you use my outer spindle sleeve.

Will the Truck/van caliper brackets fit the B body spindles?

I never looked for that combo.

I know the C-body and B-body caliper brackets do not share the same bolt pattern at the knuckle. I don't know if the offset is the same or even close.

I agree , the caliper brackets use a differnt bolt pattern. I have both 73 and 74-up c body sets ups and they are both different than the E-Body bolt pattern. Here are some drawings I made.
