I've got Simpson 5 way cam lock belts in both of my cars, one has the cam lock on the right hand lap belt and the other set has the lock on the crotch belt. Is there a way to change the lock position with out sending it back to Simpsom ?

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

Not that I know of.. as soon as you tamper with it you
void the SFI spec and if the tech sees its been tampered
with you wont pass.... I'm not sure about Simpson
but I dont think they re-web

Who does re-web? A racer friend gave me a pair of belts that were out of date and cut. I'd like to use them in a dune buggy.
Thanks,
R.

Thats the same price RJS charges to re-web... but you
only get 5 re-webs(I think its 5, might be 4) and you
have to buy all new stuff(NHRA rule)... I'm moving
my race car belts to the Rampage pass side after a
re-web but I dont want a cert tag on them an then buying
2 new sets of cam locks... one for the race car and
one for the Rampage drivers side.. that way I'll have
cam locks on all seats... I like the cam lock WAY
better than the lever type

Last I checked(around a yr ago) the did not re-web. They told me they give you a 20% off coupon. That means my camlock belts would still cost $160 when RJS is less than $140. Maybee they've changed policy since then.

Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

My source for the used belts told me to send'm in to get redone but that was 10 years ago. My guess would be they don't do it any more.

I like the cam locks also.I drive the 65 on the street and levers would be a real pain. The cams just get in and click them into place.Rocky
