When I built my trans I planned to use the billet front drum and ultimate sprag. The unexpected expense was the billet front gear. When I pulled the trans apart, several if the gear splines fell out. This was just from pushing a 4,150# Charger into the high 11's.

I do understand where you guys are coming from, but i don't think a 800HP 3500lb B-body is a MILD Street Car. I'm looking for something that could last for some duration.

Sorry I missunderstood. But Cope can build whatever you need. Ron

A&A Transmission
Can't go wrong with the leading "manufacturer" of aftermarket transmission parts.

Doesn't CRT buy most of the parts they sell from A&A?

Find a local builder thru your car club or racers in the area. I used to build my own until a guy pointed out to me some things I didn't do correctly. He has built my last 2 and the most I have spent is $1600.

Get the 727 hand book Cope helped write it.
I used it and all the parts from cope to build a nice street strip trans.
Cope rebuild kit red alto clutches and koleen steels.
billet servos
tf2 or manual valve body
4.2 lever with heavy duty strut
red lined bands
steel planetary
pump modifications done at home per the hand book.
6000 Rpm Governor if using auto shift .
put the the money into the parts and build yourself 727 easy to do.
this is what i did and then there is my friend has a bone stock trans
behind a blown 440 with just a manual valve body for 200 bucks and the trans has held up with street and strip driving so far 10 plus years.
a good trans to start with is key .

Thanks for the kutos, But I did NOT help wright the 727 HandBook, Carl Munroe is the author.

I do sell some A&A parts, I would not say MOST, not even close. I have been maken my own parts in house for years. My son Johnny on the mill.
