Hey all,

Me and one of my buddies have been getting ready to rebuild a Holley 4160 for his truck, and we seem to have run into a bit of a problem. The carb that we have is missing the choke plate and shaft. The electric choke and linkage is all there, but someone knocked out the shaft and plate. We ordered a new plate and shaft from Holley through Summit, but I'm confused as to how to install them. The shaft is oversized for the bores on either side of the air horn. Do I have to have the shaft machined down to fit, or is there some other method to fixing this. I would think it wouldn't be that much of a problem, surely someone has done it before.

Thanks for the time,
