I have a 72 dart with 10 inch front brakes small bolt pattern and trying to find out what the difference is between the 10 inch and 9 inch control arms, spindles, and the hubs for the drums. The problem im having is that i need hubs mine wont accept the new bearing racesthe are loose and worn out. I want to use the drum setup because i want to keep it original
and need to know what my options are as far as hubs and upper control arms are they the same as 9 inch?? I believe the hubs are different???? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

The upper control arms and upper ball joints are the same. The 9" and 10" drums used different knuckles/spindles. I'm not aware of the bearing differences though. I often check rockauto.com to compare part #s to see if they are the same.

I was looking at autozone today and apparently there are 2 different bearings, one for the 9" and one for the 10" drums. I couldn't find any for my KH.

yes i believe the 10 inch hub uses a bigger bearing, but i dont know if the hubs are different???????? i guess they would havve to be

so the uca are all the same regardless of drum size???? i hope so

I'm more familiar with the 1973-76 models, but my understanding is that ALL A body cars used the same upper conrol arm and ball joint from 1963-72 whether they had 9" drums, 10" drums or the Kelsey-Hayes disc brakes. In 1973, things changed a bunch!

Ok cool so the control arms are the same! Great I have a guy in Texas that has nice ones, I took the upper ball joints out of mine and there aint no threads left in the arm and there pretty rusty!

Does anyone out there in Moparland have any 10 inch drum hubs for the front, or does anyone know where i can buy new ones????

Thanks in advance folks!
