Hey, guys I just joined the forum. Need a little help. Building a 440 small block from ground up. I see there are a at least two options on a timing chain cover for the LA family. One at around $149 and one around $489. What is the difference. If it matters I am going to be running a Billet Spec front runner system.

Thanks Guys.

Links to said parts?

What block are you going to use? 440" in a small block is no mild build.

What's your HP goals, usage, etc

What heads are you going to run?

Welcome here . Yes more info on the 2 selections you are considering. Though I wouldn't pay 489 for a timing cover unless it was required for my app & if it was I think I'd go a different route on the parts that were making it a required item.
