This shot is from the world series at Cordova 2012

Never got a clean pass due to fuel delivery issues, after dyno tune the fuel requirement went up so it made a bad thing worse

Looks like my kind of build, what turbo are you using? I plan to run a GT45 chinese turbo on my 78 Aspen

i would spend a little more money and get a master power or a borg warner. Those turbos are cheap for a reason

Turbo is a Ebay GT45 y2004k, Ebay 53mm BOV and 60mm waste gate.

Its like a 69mm 105AR exhaust, I have 4-5 years on it now with no problems what so ever....
And we are not nice to it at all!!!

Engine is BONE stock 1968 383 never been apart except for.
280/480 comp juice cam, used one I had laying around
double roller chain
chrome timing cover lol
High volume oil pump
And a Torker 383 intake with new valley pan cause the old one was rusted out.

Carb i did myself, it runs on E85

3500 10" stall, colum shift.... I just leave it in drive!!!

3.91 gear witch I will be swapping for 3.23 soon

29x10 Slicks

High 10s @ around 120 so far but fuel system cant keep up so no full power passes yet.

should run low 10s to high 9s @ 130s once fuel seystem keeps up

BTW!!! car is FUN to drive !!!! layer on the wood and let the Turbo do the talkin LOL !!!!!

I must say i am very surprised. I have no first hand experience but i know a few locals have tried .60 trims on imports with VERY little luck.

Your car is definitely impressive

It's not intercooled, E85 fuel from the local kwik trip

I leave the line @ 10 psi of boost
Not shure what it goes to down the track

If I could load the dyno vid you could see it on the Super Flow dyno

I think we stopped at 21-23 pounds of boost, I would have to look at the sheet

The turbo is a single EBay GT45 y2004k for 260-300 bucks

I actually have 2 turbos for twins but didn't feel like relocating the alternator.

It could use a bigger turbo like a BW s475 or s480

On the vid of the dyno pull it was 93+ and high humidity on its 12th pull, she was warm
Said pull made 593 HP and 724 tq
With a 30min cool down 613 HP and 758 tq

I was trying to start the pulls at 3800 but dyno could only bring it down to 4200

With cooler weather I'm shure I could hit 800 on the tq, well or BOOM LOL

My cheap turbo has been on my car for over a year and took some serious abuse including lack of oil, a return restriction, and a few lean conditions in which my pryometer read almost 900 deg. and is still going strong. For $263 to my door vs $600+ I can buy one more before I reach the cost threshold.

Glad to see another person debunking the cast piston/stock motor myth too

Well I got the dyno pull on YouTube

It's on my page but when I search for it nothing comes up, maybe it just takes a bit

Search, Mopar turbo stock 383
I hope it works
It shows the power numbers !!!!
This dyno is verry conservative BTW

900F?

That's rather rich, Reliant goes through the traps at 1700F

I love reading about these turbo cars. I just haven't found the information I'd like to make me comfortable in trying to make one.(well that and the $$$)
