Thanks for charing.
What do have up front? Shocks etc settings?
Thats not a slip clutch is it?

I had my rear single adj qa1s on 7 clicks from soft and it looked like it launched good.
But when i slowed the video down to 1/8 speed i could see that the rear is SLAMMED into the ground and then bounces up again.
This could not be seen at 1/4 video speed that how fast i was.
Seems like super hard shocks are neede with manuel tranny.

I do have the QA1 adj. ready to go in the front for this season, but I have just been running Comp. engineering 3 way front shocks up until now.

I did make sure that I had 5 inches of front end travel and I run the real small drag bars. I think the .810" ones...not the slant 6 ones.

Greg.

Whats your 1/8 mile et?
How where the front shocks set?
What rear tires? Stiff sidewall?

Sorry for asking this much but this summer i really want my 4 speed cuda to hook.

I just watched this. You have a very nice car and it is making some steam carrying that weight! Nice job!

My 1/8 mile best was 99 MPH and the front shocks are set to max easy rebound and stiff compression. Rear slicks are M/T Drag slicks 28-11.5 15 inch and I run tubes. Maybe this is why it acts as a slightly stiffer sidwall slick, and helps me out on the stick car?

I also should note that I also purchased Caltrac monoleaf spring with the bars when I installed them. He tailors the spring to each car based on body style, weight, trans type, etc..

I know everyone has their own experiences, but SS springs just plain didn't work on my car. I previously installed brand new SS springs from Mopar performance 3800 pound auto springs. The first few times I did practice launches with the car with them, the springs wrapped up so bad, the rear axle moved forward and the tires clipped into the front of the wheel wells cutting the tires up (Brand new M/t et street drag radials). I also had the front segments of the springs clamped very tightly in 2 spots each. The springs are in my garage now in the shape of a slight "S".

I went to Caltracs, and What a difference! Then again..this is on my car. Each car might act differently.

I hope this helps.

Thanks alot for the comps. I appreciate that.

And I would like to say again, I am super happy with the output of this motor, Thanks to Firefighter Ron. I followed a cam recommendation he made to another build, and I couldn't be happier with the result. I always follow his responses very closely.
