How do you test a alternator gauge when it's out of the dash ?
67-68-69 cuda ?

with a multy meter but you need current to be flowing threw it so it has to have a power source and a draw??

Think you could use a sealed beam (high beam) and a battery positive to the amp gauge to the sealed beam and grounded back to the - on the battery!
maybe a little switch to turn it off and on but not needed then test multy meter against gauge? should work.
