In a 727 with a Turbo Action reverse manual valve body, when is the front clutch applied? Only in high gear? With a race only transmission, how many springs should be installed on the front clutch piston? 15? Are the following correct with this valve body? Rear clutch is applied in all foreward positions, disengaged in P, N & R. Rear band applied in 1 & R, disengaged at all other positions. Front band applied in 2, disengaged in all other positions.
Thanks, Brian Dunnigan

The front clutch pack is applied also in reverse and when the transbrake is set. Other than that, you got it. Of course some aftermarket valvebodies do not engage the low band in low and some do. Applying the low band protects the sprag some but adds another timing consideration between low and second and takes some doing to get that correct.
