Mag 500 17"...28" tall tire. Eagle RS-A 235/55 up front...255/55 on the rear. I could have put 275s if I had an extra inch on the backspacing but they were a custom order and it would have been dangerously close to my leaf spring

Fishmarket... Are you looking for your 71 B-body? Curious because I am shopping for tires for my 71 Charger. Since I want matching brand/tread on front and back I was leaning towards.... Nitto 450's 255/50/17 front on 17x8 (27.05 overall height) 4 1/2" backspace 275/50/17 rear on 17x9 (27.83 overall height) 5" backspace puts it somewhat close to what a lot of people are running (height) in 15" tires. 235/60/15 front 26.10 275/60/15 rear 27.99 I figured the extra 1" height in the front would help with the "level" look. However I am NO expert! The main thing that worries me is putting such a wide tread on the front. Wonder how that is going to drive???

I bet you could run a 275/40/17 (25.75") in the front with 17x9 with 5" backspacing.
Might even be interesting to buy your rear tires and rims first. Then just put them on the front to see if they would fit.

Any side shots? I know the 71 B-bodies have a larger wheel opening...but would still like to see the side profile.
Here's the side view, and yes, it is a 27" tire, not 28".
