hey guys, I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket front seats for 71 challengers that give better driver back/side/lumbar support that look near stock. I'm tired of sliding around, but I want to keep a near stock appearance.

Get a 6-way adjuster. Incredibly comfortable.

Doesn't do anything to stop the sliding around. Post whatever you guys figure out.

Legendary just came out with a line of original looking seats but with better support. They have different foam to go with them too.

I saw them at this year's SEMA show in the Legendary booth.

Maybe there's something on Legendary's web site.

Similar idea to this 68 Charger seat.

I figured he meant sliding around to get comfortable...... Wear a seatbelt if you slide around in a bucket seat?

Unless you put a seat belt on tight enough to push your insides out you still slide around turns or corners under any decent speed then you end up using the steering wheel to stay centered.

I think Procar makes stock-ish looking performance seats.

If you can find a good shop to custom re-upholstery them closer to stock, seats from a omni/charger bolt right on to your factory challenger seat tracks. Keeps the car mopar, and should be cheap to pick up if you can find them in a junk yard.

I always thought the ones in my Shelby Charger were the most comfortable around. So I pulled them when I scrapped the car. Now they are sitting in my Challenger. Definitely no sliding around in those suckers.

No, I haven't snapped any since I installed them. Here is a link to pictures of them in a shelby charger so you can get an idea of the shape and ideas for reupholstering them. My car is waiting a reupholster job, so since mine didn't have any tears I just sprayed a couple cans of SEM color coat on them to make them all black for now.

The lower seat is fairly flat but cushy, The neck support is in a much better position/angle, the upper seat has pretty pronounced side areas which are what grip you and keep you from sliding. It does make getting in a little harder versus falling into a standard e body seat, but that might also be the fact that I keep my seats fairly upright.

Oh yeah, biggest improvement is the fact that the seat back angle is adjustable and lays all the way back if you need a rest stop nap! Like I said, a bolt in on e body seat sliders.
