High 6.90's in the 1/8th self ported big valves on a short 6.36" rod 451 low deck in a 73 Duster...pretty close to CudaDoug's apparantly....Duster with McCreary's Ran 3.91's and 4.30's...made no difference. 3800 Stall Fairbanks converter and a Lunati .520/.547 240/250 @.050 Juicer. Much better power and broader torque cam than the MP 509. Ported Street Dominator and a worked 850. Spent months on the heads and did every trick I knew to them...musta worked! OOOPs, sorry....you said STOCK 452's....my bad! All my life I've never known what the word 'stock' meant', I was the guy who would have the hood off a brand new car with the window sticker still on it

What the head doesn't supply, the cam must add. Paraphrasing from Vizard, the IVC is controlled by the static CR, the EVO more or less, but the first place to attack poor head flow is the LSA - it must be much closer.
