If the suspension will take it I would start at 5000
and work up

My converter stalls 5900 and I set the two step at 3600,,,but I run a smallblock.

Light travels faster than the speed of sound,,,this is why some people seem bright untill you hear them speak.

Converter is 6000 but a 1.80 glide, usually launch at 3600 (most consistant 60' for me).

When I used a 727 and a smaller motor (451) with a 5300 converter I was always between 3000 and 3600, usually 3000.

Cesar I have a 572 with 5000 stall and 4:10's with 31/14.0 slicks and I leave off the brake at 4500. I am at 3600 lbs. though with me in it! Wish I was at your weight!!
Have you run the car yet with the brake or is this a brand new combination?
Can you give more info about motor,et's and 60 fts.?
Mike

I can say for fact that the higher the RPM I leave
at the quicker the 60'... I have a 5600 stall and I
leave at 5600... no chip... that gives me a 1.19 60'
I would like to go to a 6000 conv and start upping
the revs to see if that gives me a better 60'....
its all what your chassis can take... why have your
torque at 5000+ rpm and leave at 3000......JMO
I know alot of guys that the chassis cant do it but
they also dont like doing chassis work and just leave
it alone

I'm the same as Mr.P ...well atleast after I put the anti-roll in. Up until the new BGR mill I always left on the wood with a 5800 stall...

5.53 @ 125 1/8th on the launch control..more left in her!

Same here. Put a brake in towards the end of the season and started out with the chip at 3000 and kept working up. Was up to 4200 at the end of the season and had the best 60's ever. Converter stalls at 5400 , so I can still try going higher on the 2 step. But it going to have to wait for a few months before I can try it .
