Doesn't really matter, a repop (fake) tag can be spotted easily .

EK3 just because he asked about font style. You jump in with FAKE fender tag?? Tell me which is better in your opinion. A car with all the docs build sheet bill of sale fender tag all the Vin stamps in the right places. Or a REAL numbers matching car with no docs?? I have a 68 GTX with a numbers matching engine 18 spline A833 trans and a Dana with a good BOM. No build sheet or fender tag. I had a fender tag made. Do i care if someone knows its a remake.NO in fact I tell them if they ask.Its still a 68 GTX 440 4 speed car just no docs. Now on to my friends car. He took 1 rusted up piece of junk with all the docs you could ever want which by the way was a 6 pack car and 1 arizona car with a good body and made 1 very nice FAKE 6 pack car. That won numerous awards at many mopar shows. And every time he won an award he would laugh. Now do I think what he did was right NO. But here is my point. His car had a REAL fender tag but it was a REAL FAKE car period. My car is a real numbers matching car just no docs.but in your opinion a FAKE fender tag. There is a place in our hobby for remade fender tags. Not to FAKE cars. Just to replace lost ones or stolen ones. Just my opinion. Thanks Larry J

This is an example of the LA plant style font used on some cars.

Others used the bigger font that you're more used to seeing on E-bodies, as well as all Hamtramck built cars.

As I recall, your car was displayed in the mid-1990s with a fender tag in the LA style font, but perhaps not exact

Wow....

So post up your fender tag, I'm sure you could post yours and your car and someone on here could find something wrong with your tag. Which would make yours INcorrect. Just a possibly, relax dude.

i dont know what this guy is talking about. i dont see anything in this post i made that says FAKE in it anywhere??? personally , i am asking about this because some jackass stole the original fender tag off of my car. i was curious about the font used on the tags ( because this one is" FAKE " and was trying to get information from the fine members of moparts! i do think that it is wrong to make FAKE tags for a car because like mine ,it will get passed around to those with lesser knowlage of the facts .

Many a repop fender tag has fooled the best people in the hobby. So dont be so confident that it will be picked up as a fake tag once done. There are more than a few repoping tags for the mopar hobby, some are real bad, but other seem pretty good. There have been plenty of tags that have been altered from an original tag to represent what the car has on it for options.

No but you did mention posting pictures of fake documentation in another thread about this car.

I'm sorry for all the trouble that you are having to go thru because this car was stolen and recovered with the Tag missing .

JohnRR says repop then puts FAKE after repop. Sorry EK3 I thought you were the one that said FAKE. I am new to the Mopar scene. One thing i have noticed on here is almost every time someone brings up the subject of repop fender tags they automatically assume you are doing something wrong. In some cases this is true but most of the time like me and you our tags were stolen or lost. Its just a replacement tag. Its only FAKE if you are putting something on the tag that was not there to start with. If you are dealing with someone reputable making your new tag you have to jump through hoops to get them remade. I didn't mean to make a stink. Touchy subject with the mopar group!!! LBJ out!!

to increase the value of a car for sale
that is either missing one or it has been upgraded..
its the best return you can find in the hobby
for a mere 45 dollar investment
