Eagle one mag cleaner. If you grit blast, you have to only us media that has been used on Mag. if you use grit that blasted steel or aluminum, you can inbed the steel or alum. it into the mag and create a disimilar metal corrision.

Beat me to it. I would be careful with just sand blasting. some sands can erode the surface and ruin your part. I would think a soda blast or walnut may be the way to clean the oxidation. Years ago where I worked they had multiple sand blast machines, a few were set up and called recycle machines, They were hand cabinets that would lay down a smooth satin finish on parts. Don't know if it was a finer aluminum oxide or what but the finish nice, not rough at all. I cleaned up a few intakes, came out just like new.
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I put my magnesium Hemi Enderle FI intake in my new blasting cabinet and I used glass to clear it up, then clear coat.
