Sorry to post this,I couldn't find in searching old posts.Looking for the difference between a 70 cuda hood and other years (71-74).I know of crumple zones ( post photos please) but is there any other diff ? Is the hood skin diff in any way,or is it just the frame ? Thanks for your help

Smaller diameter hood hinge to hood bolts / holes.

Later hoods (mid '72-up) don't have the rectangular slots punched into the underside of the hood along each side rail.

'70 only is not supposed to have visible screws on the corrugated hood inserts - they are attached with studs & pal nuts on the back.

Though coincidentally, I stumbled across pictures of Mel Major's survivor '70 'Cuda 440 and it came with one insert '70 style and the other insert '71-up style....

Don't know how much these will help. Purple car has 'Cuda hood (440 car), yellow has flat hood (318 car), both 1970 with their original hoods.
