Pretty sure this is for an e Body.
Can you tell me what it's for and how it goes on?

Thanks

Top, what year car did it come from? Looks like there is a grommet on the wire. so that leads me to believe could be a trunk/ hood light?

Don't know, but edumacated guess would be under-hood light, judging by road grime and grommet. Looks too big to be fender-mount turn signal bulb.

I don't think it's from a E body?

I would have to agree though it looks like you are missing the mount that the bulb and socket go into to hold it under the trunk or hood. But since it has a rubber plug on it and it would go into the firewall or such, its probably the hood light. The trunk would not have the rubber plug.

The little black plug in the picture, plugged into the side of the wire harness white plastic housing. On the engine side I recall. Does that help?
Thanks

I bought it on E Bay years ago.

Tried to find the Paypal transaction. Too many to search to recall what it was and why I bought it.

That is the 4 speed reverse light wire, light and socket and firewall grommet from a 71 and up E-body, 71 and up B-body.
70 used the smaller grommet and wire tag reading 2949446.

Thank you!

Where does the connector hook up?

Should hook up to your tranny switch, right?

Correct. Connects to the tranny switch harness next to the bulkhead.
