Hey gang..
Working on rebuilding the complete front suspension on my Daytona, including the steering gear box and steering wheel column retainer. Anyone know where I can get a good quality repair/restoration kit for the retainer that attaches to the gearbox input shaft. I want black, not the orange that was out there for many years.

PS: Now that I have a steering coupling kit, are there any pointers or "words of wisdom" on changing out the retainer? I hear trying to bend the tabs are a bear....

Hey Troy, do you mean the steering "coupler" where the "south" end of the steering column shaft attaches to the input shaft of the steering box? You can PM if you like since I have some extra parts and just converted my 70 Roadrunner from manual to power.

AB - Hang an Aztec worship doll over your work bench and never say anything bad about Canadians....

Take your time - get it all lined up and square and use crimp pliers and/or a punch

The process is an easy one..The most important point to make would be that the shoes will go in the wrong way easier than the correct orientation...Take notes during disassembly and get it right the first time to avoid a big headache later...
