32" on my old Duster, 32" on my old Valiant and 32's on the Barracuda. Two of the cars were 10.5 tire stofk florpans and Duster was a back half car. One set of Chassis Engineering, one set of RJ Racecars and one set of Alston Chassisworks bars.

my crossmember looks like Bigtimes above.
32" ladder bars from S&W, and my car has been a string of 1.23 - 1.25 recently...hooks on ice, AND thats with a radial not a slick
Once you get them set and a good setting on your shocks, they are pretty foolproof

Ok.... I did a trial fit of all the pieces and the front cross member will sit right under the frame connector. I will have to cut a piece of 1/8in steel with a 1 3/4 hole in it, and weld that piece to the connector with the X member trough the drilled hole
I have 32 in bars
I will post pics of the fit tomorrow, may be someone will come up with a better idea Dan
I installed 2 x 3 frame rails with the 3 inch being flat, and doing so the front ladder bar mount hit half way off of the frame rail...I cut 1/8 steel and welded it to the frame rail...did this about 4 yrs ago...using Chassisworks 32 inch ladder bars.
This is on a 71 Dart and the leaf springs were used to hold the rear end in the correct position. Also both ends of were gusseted to reinforce the 1/8 steel ..

I personally prefer the RJ design. Not sure there is any advantage other than possibly due to their design they are easier to get a lower rid height under as totally stock florpan.

I see what you mean Mr Pbody..
Thaks for the precious info......
I will look closer at the exhaust tubes too...
For extra strength weld a piece of strap material to the front side of the brackets... then weld a tube from the strap to the frame rail... it will be on a small angle but it adds strength and in case you hit the trailer it tends to slide up the tube and not plow into the brackets

I put mine right thru the subframe with a hole saw. Then cut out the bottom out slid the tube up and welded the cut out back in. The cage bar sits on a plate welded to the ladder bar mounts. Removing a section of the floor made it easy, reinstall it when done. Doug
