I don't have any pics but mine are 32in and running round tube bar and I move the wheels back 1 in and the cross member is on the frame connectors! Right at the frame rails...

Ok....
I did a trial fit of all the pieces and the front cross member will sit right under the frame connector. I will have to cut a piece of 1/8in steel with a 1 3/4 hole in it, and weld that piece to the connector with the X member trough the drilled hole

I have 32 in bars

I will post pics of the fit tomorrow, may be someone will come up with a better idea

32" on my old Duster, 32" on my old Valiant and 32's on the Barracuda. Two of the cars were 10.5 tire stofk florpans and Duster was a back half car. One set of Chassis Engineering, one set of RJ Racecars and one set of Alston Chassisworks bars.

Notice any differences with the manufactures? Any work any better then the others?

On the parachute mount
my crossmember looks like Bigtimes above.

32" ladder bars from S&W, and my car has been a string of 1.23 - 1.25 recently...hooks on ice, AND thats with a radial not a slick

Once you get them set and a good setting on your shocks, they are pretty foolproof

I installed 2 x 3 frame rails with the 3 inch being flat, and doing so the front ladder bar mount hit half way off of the frame rail...I cut 1/8 steel and welded it to the frame rail...did this about 4 yrs ago...using Chassisworks 32 inch ladder bars.

This is on a 71 Dart and the leaf springs were used to hold the rear end in the correct position. Also both ends of were gusseted to reinforce the 1/8 steel ..

I personally prefer the RJ design. Not sure there is any advantage other than possibly due to their design they are easier to get a lower rid height under as totally stock florpan.

This is a pic of the installation so far, where the X member will sit, strong against the frame comnnector, and barely clearing the exhaust....

Myself I would move your cross bar back so its just
in front of the holes in the brackets... with what you
show there the brackets will have too much leverage
on the tube and will twist it if not tearing it right
out... you would like the bars to push up at the
bar or under it so it applies the load directly
to the bar
EDIT
The applied load will vary some based on the bars
angle but the applied load will be about 30* to about
40* from the horizontal

take the eaxhaust off, PUT the crossmember where it needs to be, then fix the exhaust.

For extra strength weld a piece of strap material to
the front side of the brackets... then weld a tube
from the strap to the frame rail... it will be on a
small angle but it adds strength and in case you
hit the trailer it tends to slide up the tube and
not plow into the brackets

Here's a tip:
Cut a couple of 3/32 or 1/8 plates 2" x 3" and weld to each end of the cross-member tube. It's a lot easier to weld the flat to the frame then the round tube.
No charge.

I put mine right thru the subframe with a hole saw. Then cut out the bottom out slid the tube up and welded the cut out back in. The cage bar sits on a plate welded to the ladder bar mounts. Removing a section of the floor made it easy, reinstall it when done.
