Looking for input on what brand you run. Thinking R&R or GRP going to be a 7.1 rod on a 3.76 stroke in a world iron block should not have any clearance issues

I have used BME rods and MGP rods. No problems so far. 9300rpm W2 engine.

MGP was little cheaper, lighter and faster. Very good customer service.

BME or nothing. Pulled a set of MGP rods out of a 632" BBC all 8 rods cracked with less than 30 runs due to engineering flaw. Something about the cap locating grooves if I recall correctly. May have it fixed by now, who knows. Just know I'd never buy anything from them.

GRP or MGP if you want the best available.

My Bill Miller experience was the exact opposite. I asked for tech and got Bill himself. Told him I wanted to open up the big end. He asked where I lived and told me to send them to him He'd handle it. Three days latter Bill called me personally. I asked him if he needed my credit card number, nope just give your address to the secretary and put a sticker on the car. Never asked if the rods were purchased new or if I had a receipt. Can't say I've ever had service like that.

You are right, I should not have been so harsh--
Glad to hear it! I did say they run like the EverReady Bunny

BME has always been a great experience for me.. They used to check and x-ray a set for $110.00..

Don't know if that's the case anymore.. Always helpful on the phone for me.

I had over 600 runs on several BME rods. Usually had them re done after 300 runs each time.

I have GRP 5300 series in my B1 (6.535 Chevy) but have few runs on them, so no serious opinion yet.

As far as the MGP stuff, I know they have a weird way of torquing, and if you don't follow their steps I have heard of failures.

BME also has some issues with leaving their rods torqued for long periods of time without use.. I've never personally had a problem, but I know they (BME) don't like it..

My Bill Miller experience ... I called to ask for some tech info on my BME rods. Bill was busy, but they took my phone number. He personally called me back early the next day to answer my questions. Whats not to like about that kind of service.

I have called BME a couple of times and both times Bill took the time to help me out that is outstanding service! By no means not even close to a Indy dealing

I believe that is now MGP..

But I could be wrong..

EDIT
Yep, I was wrong.. I was thinking that way because MGP moved from Phoenix to Colorado Springs..

Had great luck with Bill Miller Rods in a bracket 10.30 dart. Would certainly buy another set.
