I have seen these for sale on Ebay. I'm trying to figure out if I need these for my motor. First, I have Donovan valve covers and the spark plug tubes use an O-ring to seal to the covers. Are these seals used to seal the tubes to the head at the bottom of the tube? They look like they might fit into the spark plug recess in the head. When I bought the motor there was no seal at the bottom of the tube where it meets the head. Any info is greatly appreciated!

I thought that people bought the aluminum press-in deals because they have o-rings to keep oil out of the spark plug area.

Those look to me to be the ones at the top of the valve cover to keep oil from leaking around the tube itself.

Am I understanding you correctly or? The ones that I'm talking about.

Yes, you are understanding correctly. Those Milodon ones I think are for 426 Hemis. I guess another way to ask is did the early Hemis have any seal at the bottom of the tubes? And are the ones I pictured for the tube to valve cover seal?

I really don't think that the early Hemi's or the 426 had those factory as in any kind of seal down at the bottom.

Thats how my 426 was. Everytime you pulled the plugs they were soaked with oil. I wonder if those Milodon seals would work on a 392?

Well, if you go to hot heads they sell some that say you need to machine you heads and they don't look like those from Mancini's website.

PAW, which only sells Hemi stuff on eBay now....his stuff looks similar to what Mancini sells, but doesn't require machine work. If you get in contact with him threw eBay he will usually put it up, anyways that's what he has done for me.

But..........I've wondered the same thing as far as the 426 stuff working on the the early Hemi stuff? My PAW covers take stock 426 spark plug tubes..........so would they work?

I found a picture of these seals in Tex Smith's book on Hemis. They do go at the top of the tube to seal against the valve cover. Thanks for the responces!

Back in the day...before the Milodon type seals, guys did use those upper seals on the bottom of the tubes also. They were secured to the heads as shown. I do have the stainless steel reproduction hold downs.
