68 Dart is finally getting done from the paint shop. Now I need a windshield. I've been hearing some manufactures have glass that is too thin? I don't want to find out the hard way! Can anyone tell me where to look for something that fits correctly? 68 Dart 2 door hard top Thanks !

Did you try AMD? I bought a windshield from them for my 68 Barracuda. It was the proper thickness and fit well. Your Dart should use the same glass as the 68 Barracuda.

I couldn't find PPG for my truck but I did end up with Pilkington which was as thick as factory and nice. XYG are some of chinese ones and are too thin in my book. I returned one because "it met DOT guidelines" not factory guidelines. Be sure of the brand before you order. Most glass shops can get them.

Call Eric at IAS 952 797 4374. He did the windshield in my 69 a couple of years ago. At the time i didn't know anything about the glass thickness but I've had no problems with what he installed. Hope he's still around.
